Surf help/info

Got some relatives who came down from the Northeast, and they want to do some fishing while here. Any good spots I can take them to for some surf fishing for whatever is out there biting right now? They’d love to get into some Reds and Trout.

Mostly whiting in the surf, but that could be fun for you guests.  Not likely to find reds or many trout in the surf this time of year.  Reds are schooled up on flats.   Trout are around in ICW and live shrimp or artificial would be the way to go for trout.

and /or shore fish from under any bridge or along AIA in the Mayport area and you might find some trout.  surf fish the incoming and first of the outgoing.  good luck and have fun

Does anyone fish at St Mathers bridge anymore?  My dad and his friend Jones use to catch sheepshead by the washtub full.

They would use cane poles and fiddler crabs. This was back in the 60's.

There was good oysters too. I don't even remember where it's at.
