Of course the dynamics will say nothing to see here

Southwest airlines canceled nearly 2,000 flights between Saturday and Sunday - blaming the FAA and the weather for problems that didn't seem to affect other airlines. According to FlightAware, Southwest canceled over 1,000 of the flights on Sunday.

“We experienced significant impact in the Florida airports [Friday] evening after an FAA-imposed air traffic management program was implemented due to weather and resulted in a large number of cancellations,” Alan Kasher, who oversees Southwest’s flight operations, in a statement obtained by several news outlets on Saturday.
Did other airlines have this issue or just South West?

Others did, but not to the extent of South West.

The mandate is nothing but hot air....no executive order, no OSHA Rule, just blathering from the white house.  If your employer cites the "mandate" they are lying.
OSHA will have the rules in the next few weeks. It takes time to go through the process and get input from stakeholders as the law requires.

Then it will likely face challenges from several states that oppose it.

Without a Presidential order or congress passing a law where does OSHA get authority to change rules?  Agencies on their own have the NPRM process they have to follow.
Congress granted OSHA the authority when it was created. The President delegated the specific authority when he notified them to implement the rules requiring vaccines for worker safety. OSHA will issue an ETS for the Vaccine Mandate that will serve as the proposed permanent standard. The notice of proposed rulemaking may have been issued or OSHA will issue it as part of the process to make the rule a permanent standard. The ETS can be challenged in the appropriate U.S. Court of Appeals if an affected party does not feel it is valid, But it will be law as soon as it is published in the federal register.

It has been 30 days  so apparently it is not an EMERGENCY because there is still no legal requirement from OSHA.  You love to make excuses for the fascists.... please tell us how this is being done without an emergency or public comment?

Nobody on here has claimed that those who had Covid need to get the vaccine. The issue is the 100 million who are unvaccinated and have not caught Covid

The only people  "at issue" is those over 60 and that is still 99% safe to get at that age.  To force every working person to get injected is criminal and yes, there are many on here that said that they would enforce the mandate (incl the moderator) and the mandate has no exemptions for antibodies... and that tells you there is no science behind the mandates.

As you pointed out already, there is no mandate yet. We do not know what exceptions may be included yet. Any business that values its bottom line will enforce the mandate until the courts say different, if and when it is challenged.

Another sick out today at Southwest in process...

Any company that gives their employees an ultimatum deserves to fail.

I dare you to put a sign up at your gas stations that says you fully support employee vaccine mandates...but you wont.

Never said I supported it. I do follow the law rather than get fined. I am sure the same is true for most business owners.

Your company will enforce it if they fall under the mandate. Will you stand on principle and quit when they do?

I said if the government said I had to provide vaccinated technicians I would do so. (But you knew that.)

In fact I just received a letter from a government facilities management company stating I had to provide proof of vaccination by 12/08/2021 for technicians visiting/servicing those government sites I am subbed on. I have sufficient vaccinated employees to fulfill the requirement.

Those not visiting the site do not have to be vaccinated and it will be their choice if they want to get vaccinated.

By the way, thanks for the recognition. Don't know what it has to do with anything but thanks. :)

Right... you would put the health of your employees and their medical choices and their jobs secondary to your profit.

Southwest Airlines, union insist pilots didn’t walk out to protest vaccine mandates

Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Brandy King, in a statement: "The weekend challenges were not a result of employee demonstrations, as some have reported. We have a closer to normal operation today, navigating some new weather across our system."

I know it isn't, but I thought it worth mentioning. He did the same incentive I did and all his employees got the vaccine. I still 3 that won't and that is their choice. Two are in their twenties, so it is not likely an issue for them.

I do not see small employers being mandated, but who knows.

“The airline blamed an ongoing staffing shortage and bad weather in the Midwest for the weekend’s cancellations, but the Federal Aviation Administration pushed back against that claim. Southwest Airlines was the only airline to report such a large percentage of canceled and delayed flights over the weekend. “ quote from news

100's more cancelled today. Nobody will say why though.  King is trying to keep that stock up
