Last few Trips- Keys King YT & PBI BIG King

TunachaserTunachaser Posts: 270 Deckhand
Here are some pics from our last few trips in November & December.

We spent Thanksgiving in Cudjoe Key and we LOVED it! We usually go to Islamorada or Marathon, but really liked the slower pace of Cudjoe. We did some yellowtailing on the reef with the kids and had a blast! My older son ended up getting his personal best King and on a 15# yellowtail rod. Tons of fun!

Took my boys out of PBI in early December and fished live Gogs right out front from 120-250'. My younger son got his personal best Dolphin & King to date and my older son got his 1st Sailfish! Great day!

Took my boys out of PBI again yesterday and fished live Gogs from the Condos  up to Jup.
Strong N current and 2-4's with 15++S/SE winds.  ROUGH day for the boys but they toughed it out. Nice blue water out in 200' and greenish inside 100'.  It was slow all morning, but got  a keeper Mutton and nice Porgie on the bottom rod.
My older boy got a MONSTER King towards the end of the day in 170' off Juno Pier.

My boys are really starting to get into fishing and we're having so much fun together! Good times!
Happy New Year!
