Range is Pacific coast of Mexico north into California. This is the first one ever documented in Dade County. Found on November 14 of this year. It stuck around long enough for me to get this shot on 11/23. This is a juvenile. The adult birds are stunning.

Capybara's are vicious and should not be let alone with small children. In-laws are another matter.............
