Weaver and his staff had to work their butt off to make the team a moderate financial success here in Jacksonville. The only reason he did it is because of his love of the city and the residents. If Khan doens't have that love why would he want to follow suit if he can make the team more profitable with less effort in another market? It just doesn't make sense. Why would he come right out and say that he wants to move the team? So he can lose millions every home game until they move and attendance drops to next to nothing? You're right, a couple hundred millions dollars is not going to change his lifestyle in any way, shape or form but I don't know anyone who has earned a considerable sum of money that is willing to sit by as an opportunity to make more on an investment slips by. How do you think he earned that money in the first place?
On a side note, it wouldn't hurt this city to have a little diversity. We are, how should I put it, a bit behind the times.
However there are no laws etc. In Pakistan regarding women's dress - including the hijab. Unlike the ME countries you tend to have a more Western culture due to it having been part of the British Empire, and now Commonwealth.
Maybe if we tell people that the brain is an App, they will start using it.

E..Z.. Slayer .. question is.. are you gonna get off your FAT A$$ wallet and go to a game
This is from Forbes…the 2009 NFL team rankings.
Jags:
Value – ranked 32nd, dead last
Revenue – ranked 30th
Operating income (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.) – ranked 19th.
They aren’t as small as you think…they make money.
I think “team value” can be a little misleading sort of like “Fortune 500 Companies”, Fortune ranks them on revenue not profits, plenty of Fortune 500 companies are not turning profits. Mr Weaver is a smart business man.
I just heard a rumor that the team name is being changed to the Camels. I guess we are all going to have to by new tags, bumper stickers, decals, shirts etc. Cameldillos is kinds catchy don't you think?

Lets not forget how many teams have been in LA, not supported, and ended up leaving....there is a reason they don't have a team now. As long as the city supports the team it will stay here and the support will depend on a good product being put on the field. I also would not be surprised if the new owners fell in love with Jax, like so many of us have, and a few years from now they have other business interest in the area and have gotten a strong connection to Jax.
One thing for sure, Jax was spoiled by having the Weavers as the past owners and left some big shoes to fill. They gave a lot of thier time and money to this city and regardless of what happens to the Jags, Mr. Weaver had his heart in the right place trying to protect the Jags fans, I have no doubt that he feels the team will stay or he would have not sold it.
Now...lets open up that big ol' check book and spend some money in the free agent market!!!!
I hope you are right, Chad. Much like my feeling that Tebow will not turn into a quality NFL quarterback, I hope I am wrong. I would like nothing more than to have the Jags stay in Jacksonville for the rest of my life. However, I think there are a number of things that will have to fall into place for that to happen.
I couldn't agree with you more about the Weavers. They have done as much or more then anyone in this town to help Jacksonville. I have no doubt that he believes that the Jags will stay here. Time will tell.
With that being said, I am excited to see what direction Khan takes the team. From what I have read it sounds like he could be a great owner, mixing agressive moves with the patience to let them develope.

I totally agree....love the shake up moves by Mel Tucker....maybe he's our guy. I'd like nothing better than to see him rattle off 5 wins and send us into the off season with a buzz in the air!
Last thing on LA, to get a team they have to get a stadium and to get a stadium the city will have to put up some of the money.....well....the whole state of CA is one broke dud...a stadium is a ways down thier list.
