Sending Unit Dual Guages

Can you install 2 gauges to read one sending unit. I have Suzuki Fly by wire controls and keep loosing tabs of my fuel usage.  The burn rate is extremely accurate but I don't always update the fuel added so my tank readings are always off.

Can I add a manual gage in parallel to the electronic system. I think it may not work because the sending unit will add it's own resistance impacting both gauges.

Ideas ?
