I took my dad out today for a little inshore action here in FP. Started early on the incoming looking for flounder, but could not get a bite. I did catch a large mantis shrimp that did not let go of my Gulp shrimp. Next stop was targeting trippletail. Got a nice 8 lb'er on live shrimp. Also, released a small Goliath. Had him pull my crab pots (no, not elder abuse, he offered and wanted the work-out!). Last stop was using the Goofy jig for pompano, and caught a few, and some other by-catch. All-in-all, a productive day here on the Treasure Coast on the last day in November!
Boiled the mantis shrimp...tasted sweeter then lobster but softer meat.
