Repower 2005 Angler 204fx

I have a 2005 Angler 204 F/X center console. I bought it a couple of years ago and it has a 2004 250hp Mercury Optimax 2 stroke. She'll go over 50 mph but I don't get conditions that often that allow that so I'm willing to accept a slower speed. I want to repower and am thinking about a new Suzuki 175hp 4 stroke or a new 150hp Honda 4 stroke.

The current Mercury is a little heavy for the boat. It originally came with 150hp from what I can tell. The Suzuki would add 50 pounds, the Honda would lighten her about 50 pounds.

Cost is a factor.

I'm leaning towards the Honda with the total of a hundred pounds of weight difference from the Suzuki. I'm guessing that I still should get 35 to 40mph top end. Does that sound reasonable? Probable?

I'd welcome any thoughts and thanks in advance.
