Had a crew of (5) Scott his boat, Cameron his son, Craig,Vito, and me larrywitt. Weather forecast was great as low as (5) knots then variable. You know the story, so so wrong. Stopped for bait the drift was so fast , it took awhile Had a bait nice combination of bait. On the way out there were bait pods busting all over on the way out. Looked like Spanish we tried to get a couple for the box we never did get in front of them, tried for a bite then headed out to the barges. Tube lures sent out and drew attention in a heart beat ,after good many casts we did get two come and play. No other action at all so we headed out deeper to 100 plus feet nice bite on nice lanes, red grouper shorts, one red keeper boxed by Vito at 24 inch`s. Then he a gets nice hit, that tried to rip the rod out of hi hands. It was fun to watch the fight with the boat rocking like crazy and just keeping ones balance an issue. Now we see it is a AJ we do net him it is short of legal size take a few pictures an release. But when he is released the biggest Barracuda they have ever seen appears out from under the AJ and almost cute it in half in one bite. When you drop a line in the water you never know what could happen.
