Trout @ The Pass, finally!

Dorian's inability to decide where to destroy enabled me to get out Sun, Sept 1. Fished the beach anticipating a decent snook but no such luck. Caught a number of jacks/ladyfish and saw 4 manatees. Slow day and ended up at a mangrove island next to a 9-foot deep channel. Throwing the 5-1/4 blue Yo-Zuri, GF and I got 5 trout in about 20 minutes. 2 were 14" the remainder (keepers) went 15-1/2 to 16. These were the first trout in my boat in 3 months! Water was extremely clear. Could see bottom in 10 feet, or at least the anchor rope @ the chain.
Taking this weekend off, but hope to be back on the water on the 14th. Until then, gives thanks we fish in the 10K Islands!
