mainly went out to get some fresh ballyhoo for next weekend, and after an hr on the poly balls just south of the cut we already had 10 dz. it was just my 7 yr so and I and I promised him we would swim with the fish so after netting the ballyhoos we jump in and swam with all the fish around the boat. It was only 930 at this time so we decided to poke our noses offshore for an hr or so. In 830’ we got a double of shorts and played around with the school releasing a couple more. Ran further offshore and in 1200’ SE of PE got on a frigate and followed it for 10 mins and got a hit on the shotgun bait, got tight and after 1 jump spit the lure but looked like a better fish. Put out a couple live hoos but no one else around. Turned around and headed for the barn. Hopefully some bigger fish will show up this week.
