Question on fishing with kids.

This may seem odd, however I cant find the answer anywhere...

I have 4 kids, 3 that are HARDCORE fishermen and they love going offshore, they are ages 6-8-11.  Do kids carry with them, although exempt from licensing, a “bag limit”?  If so, Ive been doing it wrong, and for that my freezer

The FWC website simply states that they aren't “required” to be licensed, implying that they may be able to be licensed, I plan on getting them all lifetime licenses once we are residents ( planning a move soon).

My understanding is that they do get their own bag limits even if they are too young to require licensing.  But it is "their" individual bag limit, not part of a boat limit, so they have to catch their own fish.  You can't catch the fish and throw in the cooler for them.

Those lifetime licenses are an incredible bargain.  The pricing on them has not changed since the program originated many years ago even as many of the individual licenses that are included have increased in price.

They need to catch their own and yes no license is required for them
