Praying everything goes as planned and on the planned timeline. Nothing worse than being put in a holding pattern at the hospital waiting on an op room to become available.

Dr.s just left us. They said it went very well . Can see him in about an hour. Still slight chances of issues in next 24 hrs but they aren't expecting any. 1-2 night here and then go home.

A permanent PM will be installed in a few hours. He's doing great but no so much when the turned the temp PM off for a few minutes. Go home tomorrow if all is still going well.

I'm sure y'all are tired of my ramblings so I'm sorry if so. Still need more prayers though.

Dad was doing great, feeling good, joking around and being his self all day. They gave him some platelets just before taking him back at 2p and all was well. As they were taking him from us I could tell he looked "different" and he looked at me and said "I can't breathe" I alerted the staff and they said it was anxiety, he'll be fine. Not 10 minutes after he left us the Dr. Doing the procedure comes into the waiting room. This is odd, I thought. He said that he and the anathesisologist were calling it off. Too dangerous.  He had an allergic reaction and it shut his breathing and oxygen down and fluid was building in the lungs. 

He's currently in ICU, doing much better and they are getting the fluid  out of him (2000ml so far). He's spent, tired, hasn't eaten or drank since 8p last night and none at all today and can't have anything at all. Has a super sonic C pap on that won't allow him to talk and he can't get out of bed with it. He told me he's ready to take all that stuff off and go home. No pop, that isn't happening.  They feel confident enough that he will be ready in the AM and have him scheduled as a "fit in" and they will attempt to put in the AM again tomorrow.


If you will, keep him in your prayers. He's a tough ole **** but just needs to be patient. It may get worse before it gets better but he can handle it.

Sounds like he developed either congestive heart failure or flash pulmonary edema for some reason.  Back on the list.  Tell him to keep that CPAP on.
