Crystal river 7-6 stormy and fishy

Been to long since if fished or posted so its time  to do both.
Loaded up the boat and crew and wanted to fish long point.Got past market 6 and every boat around was coming in to dodge storm.
I used better judgement  and turned around and waited out at shell island.
Could not just sit there not fishing so we moved across to small protected cove.

A couple of small reds kept us busy for a few.
Off to long point but wind was hauling so we anchored at short point. From my experience  short point has more small reds where as long point has bigger fish and this was the days theme.Small redsBait was live shrimp with small split shots.
When we ran out of shrimp we used cut squid.lots of cat fish with 15 small reds with 2 keepers mixed in.Great to be back on water.

    Good to see you back!

I am glad to only be a bird hunter with bird dogs...being a shooter or dog handler or whatever other niche exists to separate appears to generate far too much about which to worry.
