Got the chance to fish so we headed out Sunday morning to sassa to see what we could find. Headed South to the mangroves hoping to find some Reds with no luck. Using poppin cork and shrimp on the bottom. Saw a few boats out a ways so went out looking for Trout. Again nothing. Light wind and a little chop and water temp in mid 70s. Went South some more around Porpoise Point and that was the right move ! Fished around the islands on the first of the out going tide and the wife caught some under sized Reds and we got a few cats and rays and then I got a solid hit and hooked up and the fight was on ! A good drag stripper and after a few minutes I pull in a nice big Black Drum ! Really enjoyed the fight cause its been a while since Id had one. All in all a good fun day on the water. Let Mr Drum go to fight again another day !
