Another four

Spotter Redfish today.

I got to the Wabasso ramp a couple minutes late. I know this because JHdog13 had already launched and was motoring away.
I decided to do the same spots as yesterday since hey, they were not that bad.  First stop was a point...which was empty.
The next spot was the one that had the snook & Red yesterday...it did not have them today but I worked the whole area hard and did get 3 small snook and a very nice keeper sized Mangrove snapper. It seems early for these nicer sized snapper since I usually start getting them in the mid summer time.
I left there and headed south after seeing how terrible the water was up by Sebastian yesterday so I felt that while I had less good trout spots...the conditions might be better. I was right. the water was cleaner and I was able to get a solid mid slot Trout at my first stop. It was still pretty early but I figured I probably could sight fish so off I went. The conditions were pretty good but I forgot what you need to keep in mind...Watch your shadow. When you have a low sun angle at your back...you have a very long shadow. I think I spooked the first fish I saw....It was cruising a bit fast and refused my one opportunity. Luckily, I realized this and re-positioned a bit and got the opportunity I needed.

So. at 8:35 AM  that is #13 ... and 8 straight on the streak.
I saw another fish that I think I may have spooked.  I decided to go look at a different spot before I ruined the place.
I found acceptable conditions on the flooding tide and was able to see this fish up shallow...and it was working towards me.

A solid 4 spot redfish.

It was now 10 AM...and getting warm...so I headed in.

Keep um coming Duck, 8 in a row is nice! You make it look easy, I don’t think most people understand how hard it is to get a slam with those 3 fish.

I assure you...it is *NOT* easy... and I fully understand how the "Fortunes of war"  can all change very quickly.

Today was actually #9 in a row...and considering that means I have fished my way all the way thru the tide and am starting back towards where I started in the tide it makes it gratifying that I have done this. I think last year I had one streak that was 11...but you are one bad weather day from a break out...so...

It is a bit of a parlor trick...mixed with a lot of time on the water...and luck...never discount the luck!
