Elusive Red

30 Apr  2019…Wabasso/Vero... The water quality in most of the area is terrible.  Getting pattern set for the Central Florida Shootout.  Bait schools at Pine Island, nothing chasing.  Move to the cut, short Snook and Trout, like nothing over 12 inches. Hobart Landing, again big schools of bait, Jacks and a lost Bluefish, only players.  Hole In The Wall, North and West, whole lot of nothing.  Between the Sisters, baby Jacks.  Nothing off of the spoil islands or Grand Harbor.  Worked the East cuts and the Estuary, again, nothing.  Johns Island/Vero.  Sheepshead up, but not active.  Pulled a 23 inch Trout out of the Mangroves.  Saw the first Tarpon of the year.  Oyster Cut, one short Snapper after another.  Toss in a few short Snook.  Last stop of the day, ICW Pine Island cut, looking for Reds, short Snook and Jacks.  Finally a different bump, jack pot, a 24.75 inch Red.  All players released for another day.

    Nice work John....

Just started seeing a few Reds here and there...
There are many roads to travel
    Many things to do.
    Knots to be unraveled
'fore the darkness falls on you
