My friend's son wanted to do some fishing and hopefully take some back home before he leaves for Wisconsin tomorrow. Had a late start and didn't get to the reef until 11:00. First stop was in 42' to see if any mangroves had showed up yet, but it's still too early. Fished another spot in 57' where we had a gazillion Needlessfish taking our YT baits, and when it wasn't those it was the filefish or chubs. Went to my sure spot a little farther south and had no trash fish. Perfect current and ballyhoo everywhere, and no sharks! While the others flatlined for YT off the stern, I was the bottom googan and fished ballyhoo for a mutton or mangrove. Got this nice mangrove:

and a mutton:

but also released 3 of these and lost another on the bottom. Come May 1st I probably can't find one to save my life!
