Here is a cheap, easy, and effective fly line mat for a kayak. I use a basket when I use my platform, and a blanket when just throwing off the base of the kayak. Even then, because the line piles up in the cockpit, it still causes knotting issue. With the spikes, it keeps the line layered so no more tangles.
