Bad Day @ The Pass

Launched Sunday @ 6:30. Water temp was 78.6. Wind was blowing @ 20 from the SE. Thought I could find some places to hide from the wind. Found an island and threw topwaters, jerk baits and bucktails. Nothing. Ran to the Morgan River. 1 ladyfish on a jerk bait and 2 catfish on a shrimp tipped grub. Back towards the pass and saw it raining near the launch. Gave another island a chance. Nope. It started raining and with the wind, time to give up. Boat on the trailer @ 9am. Oh well. I knew it was going to be windy but wanted to give it a shot. I'll be back week after next with hopefully a more encouraging report.
