Ponce Inlet Nearshore 4/7

Went through the inlet around 0830. It was pretty foggy.  Hit the Flagler Ave Buoys for tripletail, no takers.  Decided to troll and look for rays.  Saw about 20 or more cownose rays jumping, no manta rays.  By the time we would get to the cownoses, they would have dove.  No cobia for us.  LOTS of other boats looking for them too.  Trolled a ballyhoo way back, x rap, and silver spoon all the way back to the north causeway. depths from 15 feet to 45 outside the inlet.  (pulled the ballyhoo in at the inlet) lots of fun light tackle action.  5 keeper Spanish  (several other small ones) and a few large blues.  water temp off beach was 66.  Surprising thing was there was not one bite on the ballyhoo.  Pretty day!

ShoNuff....got this one about two weeks ago on one of the few decent days weather wise. It went almost 18lbs from those buoys. Hopefully those cobia show up soon...and the weather cooperates.
