Deerfield Beach Question Please

We are planning a brief family trip to the Deerfield Beach area probably in the late May, early June time frame and I'd like to do a bit of beach fishing.  My primary saltwater experience is west coast, FMB, Lovers Key, and I primarily use light tackle 7' ML rods, 2500 reels, 10 pound braid, casting 1/8 and 1/4 jigs with DOA, Gulp, Li'l Jon, Zoom Flukes, etc., for trout, flounder, pomps, etc.  Will this technique work fishing up and down the beaches in Deerfield, Boca, etc.?  We are flying and I'll be shipping some tackle and won't get to fish a lot so I want to keep my tackle to a minimum.  Thanks so much.

Not much beach fishing in that area.

I would bring your rods and go to a local tackle store once you get here so they can give you some insight on whats happening.  T and R tackle on commercial BLVD is my go to shop.  Also, a lot of people fish off the pier.
