How far would you go in a Skiff?

I was finding ARS in 45 feet of water out of Hernando and Pasco.  So 15-25 miles out.  Advice for the summer - leave VERY early so that when (not if) the afternoon thunderstorms start firing, you are already back home.

that's the plan we are going with this summer, our first year we can actually get out that far.    we were also planning a night trip, weather permitting.    Figured it would be easier without the sun and crowds.
