Hey guys/gals new here on the site. i have read and watched every video about the trip and gear for this trip. I do plan on calling in the am also, my question is what about  coolers and tackle boxes/bags/ I see larger coolers up top on the videos and smaller personal and boxes on deck under the seating any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Again And Tight Lines!!!  BTW the 11th cant get here quick enough!!

Fish coolers you won't need until you're back at the dock, if they fit inside of your vehicle it's better to leave at the dock. Also, there's a storage shed that can hold your coolers at the dock. Tackle boxes/bags you can leave under the benches along the sides of the boat. Chef Chad's meal plans are so amazing that I don't even bother bringing a snack/food cooler any more.

Get the unlimited meal plan from Chad and save yourself the time, money and stress of bringing food or beverages on the trip.  Leave your coolers in the car/truck at the dock for when you get back.

MJG3, as stated by the group I would eave big cooler in the car.  If you are using bait i would bring small bait cooler to keep under the seat.  Additionally, i would get the meal plan and then have a small cooler for additional drinks when Chad is not readily available.  I would also keep a gallon of two of fresh water to use as a rinse to a saltwater shower as you can only use the shower on the last day.  By the 2nd day I was stinking pretty bad and thought is was because I was fishing by the bathroom and that is where the smell was coming from, wrong it was me.  I threw away the shirts I was using as they were too ripe.  Good luck, these trips are a blast

I use a 48qt for bait and a 36qt for drinks. Get the meal plan, makes it a lot easier to fish more and take less

Coolers that will not fit under the benches outside (approximately !5 - 17" high) must go up top. (The mates will help you get them up top if you ask.) Most people have a larger cooler 48 qt or so for keeping bait cold and a small 6 pack cooler to keep at their fishing spot.  Bring a couple baits down at a time to use, that way you still have reasonably fresh bait at the end of the trip.  I would also bring a small cooler to keep drinks cold at night.  Check with Chad, but I think if you get the meal plan he will give you a few drinks to keep in your cooler, in case he is sleeping.  Tackle bags have to go inside or on the benches outside.  (Be aware that the mates hose the decks down several times during the trip so if you don't want you tackle to get wet you have to keep it off the deck.)  I know you didn't ask but spare rods must go up top or on the bow, also.  Only the rod you are fishing with is allowed on deck.

I'll be on the same trip. As stated Chadz meals are fantastic. I don't bother with bait, I use what's provided by the boat. I think it is more about presentation than the actual bait and I will probably slow pitch most of the time. The weather looks great. See you there

I will be rail spot 23 same trip. Not to beat the point to death but get the meal plan   It is awesome not worrying about food, snacks and drinks. Plus Chef Chad food is amazing!

this was our first trip on the Yankee Capt , And it was great!!! 1st  thank you Capt Greg you and the crew were awesome! The other fishermen that have a few trips under their belt were also very informative with tips and tricks! Especially Randy making sure i was catching fish on the slow pitching. I guess i was working it right, Dolphin ,snapper grouper, alamco and yes barracuda. Chef Chad knocked it out of the park with the meal plan!! Hands Down a Winner!!!!  Thank You Again Yankee Capts, and will see you again soon!!!!
