Looking to see if anyone has had any issues bringing lures on your carry on ? I bought some DOA 4" Baitbusters and wanted to bring them with me and I dont do checked bags.. Will I have a problem ?
I would suspect you would have a problem. I tried to carry on my fishing pliers a few years back and they took them. I would either check a bag, mail your lures in advance or buy some while down there.

Not sure about lures, but I know as long as your pliers are under 7” you are good. That goes for any tool by the way, as long as the tool doesn’t constitute a blade or something.
I have traveled back and forth from Canada to South west Florida for quite a few years and usually have fishing gear including flies and had no problem until 2 yeas ago , I had my flies taken away, it appears that the final call is made by the officer even if the guide lines say hooks up to a certain size are OK. I now either check the bag with the hooks or mail them to my Florida address before I head down.
Good information, thanks for the link. I was curious about how this all worked as well.
