Question on using these plastic baits in saltwater around Fort Myers Beach

 Anyone try either of these two  from Zman Finesse TRD by ZMAN is basically 1/2 of a ZMAN ZinkerZ. Also what about these Berkley PowerBait Pro Twitchtail Minnow 3" .  I have success with 4 inch Gulp swimming mulltet. Will also go back to my Bass Assissins and will try few other new Zman and Mud minnow. Feel free to comment and give suggestions most of time I use 1/8 ounce jig.

I have had success on them but found that they melt in hot temps.  I learned this the hard way and a bunch of oil spread all over one of my tackle trays.  Just an FYI.  I like their jigheads too!

Not just high temps. They must be kept in their original packaging, touching them to any other plastic will cause them to "melt". Just get a binder for the packages and you'll still be saving money using z-man vs DOA's that rip on every bite.

Good advice and will remember your tips. I was able to buy different zman plastic baits not sure all that I bought, but price was cut big time.  My go to bait is Gulp swimming mullet, only buy when they are on sale. I like to try other plastics. again only buy in off season at nice discount.

Caught some decent snook on the TRD last summer. I picked up some of the TT Headlockz HD Jig Head 1/12 oz to try out. I was looking for a heavier hook that still keeps it like a ned rig  that would give me a fighting chance near any structure.

Ahh, now I seen why they "melted" and it wasn't even very hot outside.  They were in a slot with other soft plastics and it all turned into a gooey mess!  Live and learn!  Thank you!
