2/6 Jupiter (Good Times)

Fished with the Good Times out of Square Grouper this afternoon. Boat was full but it didn’t feel like it as we all had plenty of space. Most people fished chicken rigs with cut bait,  I fished a long leader with 2oz lead and a whole sardine hoping for something big. East/Northeast wind about 10 knots. Current about 1-2 knots. A little choppy but laid down as the day progressed. Started off with lane snappers. Capt Byron did a great job of moving us around to different spots, Rip was on his game getting us baits and marking our legal fish.
We kept spot hopping all day. These guys don’t just park and drift they find you fish. I switched to my spinning rod hoping for a king to make some fish dip with. Ended up getting almost
spooled but thankfuly Byron chased it down and I eventually won the tug of war

Well at least I got most of it!
Bite turned on after that

Ended up being a great day fishing. Everyone caught plenty and plenty were thrown back to become next years catch. Seems size limits and regulations are working. The waters off Jupiter are a jem, let’s keep it that way
