With the weatherman forecasting 10-20 knot winds we opted to fish the inside. Temps were downright cold. That run through Buttonwood canal and **** Bay was painful. Those winds seemed to cut right through all the layers of clothes we wore. But although the morning was cold, the fishing was good. Right off the bat we managed several trout. Then cam a small red, and a few snook. As the sun rose, we managed a few more fish until we hit a shoreline that had a lady fish on every cast for about 100-150 yards. It was non-stop. Not what we were targeting but lots of fun. Around noon we wrestled a small bull shark that took a free lined ladyfish. It made for a great fight. After moving to a few other stops we continued catching dink snook and trout. Missing were the reds and black drum. The search continues...
In all the day turned out to be great because of the sheer numbers of fish, although none were legal size.
