I know you use them everyday, seems a lot though. When I get mine, I wipe them with Inox just to give them a coat for a little protection then wipe them down at the end of the day. I do this every two months etc according to what I’ve done. I rinse them off also.
Partially depends on which model Penn. I have a 704Z and a V6500 that I use for tarpon. The 704Z is probably 30-40 years old, functions perfectly and the 6500 appears to be holding up well. A 330 GTI made in the U.S. gets a fair amount of use and is at least 18 years old. I am thorough about cleaning them after each trip. When you are taking customers on a daily basis, like Nick, you have time constraints most of us don't have to deal with.

For the $$$ you can’t beat a Diawa BG. I’ve seen them outlast many reels 2 & 3 times their price. No line roller to fail either as they use a bushing.
