Another NASCAR Legend

Has passed.  Glen Wood of the famous Wood brothers racing team.  He was
93 I think it said.

2 of the nicest people in NASCAR passed away this week. Glen Wood and J.D. Gibbs.

I was trying to remember which car the Woods Brothers were working when my buddies and I went to the Atlanta 500 in 1967. Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough and all the period legions were racing and we saw the Woods Brothers in action. They were working their trade at the NASCAR race held at the Middle Georgia Raceway south of Macon about the same year. I went with the same buddies, the track was a half mile oval with all the big NASCAR names, it was a blast to watch. Fun times

21 is their traditional number. Probably Cale or Pearson was driving for them.
