Good morning. Working until don't know when. Year end tax planning.
Hope everyone has a very happy and safe new year.

    Good morning.

Chilly & raining, but no snow.

    The HVAC tech arrived early.

He's up in the attic trying to fix the furnace ... again.

The sucker is flashing the same codes as last time:

Pressure Switch Calibration ... Soft Lockout ... and Flame Failure.

Parts are still covered ... but not the service call.

Great way to end the year and start another.

As has been our habit for over decade, we're not going out tonight.

My wife & I will split a bottle of bubbly, and be asleep before 12:00.

I will try to make it to 12, and see the moon pie drop. I am not quite sure why they have a moon pie drop in Mobile, Alabama and not in Chattanooga, Tennessee. No one seems to know.

Sitting under a canopy in front of a store, watching the rain pour down. I am at Bienville Square in Mobile. Marcy is inside shopping. The woman would shop in a hurricane. Somewhere down the street someone is playing a solo trumpet cover of Shenandoah. It is beautiful watching the rainfall and hearing that single trumpet play.

Just had a New Years Eve dinner of seafood paella, after we watched a brilliant sunset.
Still 70F at 8.45pm, very pleasant.

I hope you all have a fun and safe celebration. :)

Dove breasts wrapped in bacon with jaepeno and cheese, woodsrunner grits and a salad.
Happy New Year Y'all, in bed by nine, nearly sober, golf in the am.

Hope you enjoyed the grits! Be sure and eat plenty more in the coming year----I ground, sifted and bagged 120 pounds of corn today, and took 60 pounds out of the smokehouse to sift and bag tomorrow, 1-1-19! And, tomorrow, New Years Day, I'll probably grind, sift and bag another 60 pounds. It is my tradition to always WORK on New Years Day---gets the new year off on a good start ;-)

Happy new year y’all. We went to a party tonight where we brought a big pot of chili. I was supriised to see a 14” black iron skillet of cornbread made with bumpy road smoked meal. Yum
