Another UCF vs LSU thread

You probably shouldn’t hold your breath. UCF played more teams with losing records this season, and last, than they did ranked teams. The only team you’ve beaten who as worth a crap in the last two seasons was a four loss Auburn team. LSU beat your boys without eight starters, plus they lost their top two db subs early in the game when they got ejected. One of the guys that played db after that was a third team wide receiver, But somehow you UCF fans think that you can compete on a weekly basis with the P5 teams. Of course, you refuse to play any of them except in a bowl game, and continue the same lame azzed excuses why you won’t. If UCF had any guts, they’d take UF up on their 2-1 offer. The fact they won’t says it all. 

Oh yeah, either Clemson or Alabama would hang 45-50 points on you, and hold you to less than 14. Heck, the Tide would probably shut your boys out. And that’s with your starting QB playing. If you can watch either of those two teams play, and say you’re better than them, or even remotely close, you’re just lie in to yourself.

If, by some miracle, Milton comes back and plays in 2019, UCF might do that. I doubt it otherwise.

Nope, never refused. We just want fair offers, found out UF only offered us 350,00 to play them. Theyve offered even smaller schools larger sums. They knew we would turn it down. UCF isnt afraid to play anyone. We just want better terms. A 2 for 1 with two in the swamp and one in a neutral site is a horrible deal. We will play anyone, we just want better terms. UCF has only been in the fbs for 20 years. Also it shouldnt matter if LSU had starters missing, I thought the sec had "depth". If yall have the amount of "depth" you guys are talking about, then all of your players should be ready to go at all times considering 90% of them were like 4-5 star recruits. Stop making excuses for why a group of 5 team almost found a way to win with a backup qb and the same players playing the entire game. Yall will soon realize the sleeping juggernaut that UCF is and boys hes starting to stir.

Matt, first off, I’m not an SEC fan. And why would I be making excuses for LSU even if I was a fan? They won the game, Matt. Despite missing a bunch of starters. And UCF certainly did turn down UF’s offer. And as long as UCF thinks they can dictate the terms of a scheduling agreement to teams like UF, they’re not going to get anyone worth a crap on their schedule. You need UF,  and schools like them, not the other way around. As far as it not mattering about starters missing, uhhhh...., it didn’t buddy. They still beat your boys. And if it didn’t matter about starters missing, why do I see “If our starting QB was playing” comments all over the internet?  And while I haven’t checked, I don’t think there’s a team anywhere with all 90% 4-5 star recruits. Lastly, your juggernaut comment is laughable. Supporting your team is one thing, living in a fantasy world is another.

That’s one reason why this crud pizzas me off. I’ve been a FSU fan since before Bobby was there. I know what FSU did to prove they could play with the big boys. We went to Nebraska, Norte Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma, and a pile more schools with no home and away agreements. We played UF and Miami very year before we joined a conference.  But Flats and his fellow crybabies don’t want to earn their way, the think that because they’ve played well for two whole years in the arguably worse conference there is, that means they should get the same respect as everyone else. He doesn’t understand that CFB is first and foremost a business, and that the people that run the show don’t give a dang about what UCF thinks is fair. They’re not going to schedule UCF with a home and home until they’ve paid their dues. And why should they? Besides the money, there’s no reason for any big name team to give up a home game just to help UCF out.

First of all, Im not being a crybaby im simply making statements, if it p***** you off, you can feel free to stop commenting at any time. You might think I am ignorant or stupid or whatever dumb stupid thing your thinking I am but I will always push my team first and foremost over all of your stupid P5 elitist agendas. UCF is trying to upset the system. I know its run by money im not an idiot. Money controls espn and the ncaa. So the teams that bring in th most cash are going to control everything. Thats not what it should be about, it should be about the football itself and not money. Thats what UCF is trying to fix. If you wanted UCF to shut up all you had to do was put us in the playoff and see what might have happened. UCF has already hit the ceiling of their conference and clearly need to get out of there but until money stops controlling everything that wont happen. My job as a die hard fan, before they even had their stadium and were playing in the citrus bowl, is to support my team no matter what. I did and do even if you guys disagree with the things I have to say. UCF played like trash and did not deserve to win with the way they were playing. I know what they are capable of and it was way more than that. There is no such thing as a "quality loss". A loss is a loss. UCF played like ****.

UCF deserved to be top 5 with Mckenzie not with Mack, it seems they are a totally different team without their true qb.

I can get on-board with that. I will say that Mack hasnt had time to develop. As UCF gets bigger we will get more depth. Mack has played 2-1/2 games. That was his third. I think he has a lot of potential if we can get him excercised. He reminds me of college bortles with a few more fumbles.

Your last line says it all, Matt. As for your no such thing as a quality loss, that’s also true. There’s a reason UCF played like crap. And that reason is spelled LSU. They were better than your team. And it showed on the field. How about giving them some credit for for playing better, making fewer mistakes, and making the plays they needed to, to win. All we see is you blaming UCF for playing badly, and saying how they’re capable of playing better than that. However, you can only point out one time that you played well enough to win against a good team, with the exception of Auburn. Because you lost to the only other team of that caliber you played. And buddy, UCF isn’t trying to change anything. They’re just trying to get themselves in with the big boys. If you think they care about changing anything for any other reason, you are sadly mistaken. As far as you being a die hard fan, you’re way down the list on here. A bunch of us have been fans of our teams for 10, 20, 30, and even more years. But you don’t see us making ridiculous statements about our team, and pretty much all of us give credit to the opposing team when they beat us. Even the ones of us with long term rivalries, like UF/FSU. No one on here is mad at you, or dislikes you. But you need to look realistically at your team, before making crazy claims. Like calling them a juggernaut.

Not of LSU caliber but we have played plenty of power 5 teams and won. No I really believe that had UCF played better they could have whooped up on that LSU team. I am not calling them a juggernaut, I am calling them a future juggernaut.

In the last two seasons? Who? Besides a four loss Auburn, and three loss LSU? And our comment about “if they played better” can be said about any team in any game. You’re basicly saying that you’re actually better than LSU, you just had a bad game.

I dont think this year we could have we didnt seem as strong. Last year I genuinely believe that we could have beaten anyone who stood in our way. I know a few gator fans who also said the same thing about last years UCF team. And Noles, just for you.

I like Milton but as small as he is he would have trouble not gettimg injured earlier In a P5 conference. And Pottydoc is right on point with his analysis.

In the last ten years, UCF has played 23 five teams and are 8-15. I may have missed one, but I don't think so. That is less than 33% win ratio against power five teams and a strong indicator of how their season would run if they had to play in a power five conference.

Alabama would have beaten y’all useless. And for every UF fan who told you otherwise, there’s a thousand who would have just laughed. You guys barely beat Auburn. You do realize that when you get away from Orlando, no one believes that UCF is nearly as good as the local fans think they are. And that won’t change until you start playing a tougher schedule. When the second best team in your conference is Cincinnati, that’s just the way it’s going to be. UCF is not going to change that. I asked you who else you played in the last two seasons. Who you played before that isnt relative to your point, because your team was mediocre at best before that, with only a few exceptions. Then they made it up to the decent category. And, you didn’t play many P5 teams even then.

You realize anything else is a horrible deal for the Gators than what they are offering. An up and coming boxer doesnt dictate what fight they want to be in because they think they belong.  It sounds like a millennial ideal. “ I should  get what I want without having to work for it.”  College football has seen these flash in the pans for the last 40 years. You seem young so research it. So UF offers a one game deal at the swamp, should UCF take It?

UCF is not a future juggernaut. UCF would be another Louisville at best. 8-5 would be a great season for UCF in a power 5.

Yep. Matt, SOS was introduced when they went BCS because it matters.  Your SOS has to be good. UCF will never be a juggernaut until they schedule better teams. And those better teams don’t owe UCF anything. Like it has been pounded in here before, UCF needs them. These teams are already established

UCF will continue to do well in any conference they move into, I will admit they might need an adjustment season but they will end up dominating the conference. UCF is a great team with a great future ahead of them and one day you will all see that you were all wrong. UCF will end up being a consistent power house once they move into a better conference. If UF offered 1 game worth more then just 350,00, UCF should take it. UCF will be a juggernaut. I stand by my statements. Are we done now?
