UCF isn't my team, again I am from Ohio.  But the logic absolutely 100% isn't the same.  Finishing the season undefeated and wanting a claim to the title isn't the same as a three loss team.  Not that it matters, UCF wasn't the champion last year.

Meaning UCF's claim wasn't just beating Auburn, being undefeated was a major aspect of their claim.  Again, a false claim, so it doesn't matter.

Oh, my mistake, obviously that is completely on me.  That makes sense and I would have to agree.  The Gators are the best team in Florida this year.  Florida decimated Michigan and UCF lost their bowl game.  I can't recall what FSU did in their bowl game.  I would also have to say UCF was the best team in Florida last year.

UCF still used the logic that they were better than Alabama because they beat Auburn, who beat Alabama. It was wrong then, and is wrong now. Not that it will make any difference to the UCF fans. I already see them saying “if our starting QB was playing we would have won”. All the while ignoring the fact that LSU had 6 starters out before the game started, and then lost the two back up db’s to ejections. Their defense has sucked for the last two years, and they’re losing several starters to graduation, one being Milton. I don’t think they’ll be starting any more streaks next year.

I maintain UCF was a very good team last year, this year not so much.  Their defense was ok last year, this year it was horrible.  LSU handled them well for most of the game.  Had LSU not made some silly mistakes, the game would have been a blowout.

UCF is having a good run. No shame in their season at all and they deserve to be top 12. They are showing they can play with the bigger dudes in 1 game, they just have to do it a few times throughout the season to be top 5

Im too disappointed to see any good in this situation. I havent seen UCF play that sloppy in the past two years. That LSU team was understaffed and we should have easily hung 40-50 points.

LSU played terribly also. Gave y’all an easy pick six early on.  Their red zone offense was terrible. Your being hard on your team.  They were never going to hang 50 points on LSU. And if they played an sec schedule they would have at least 3 regular season losses. It’s easy to get up for one big game, try it weeek in and week out

UCF scored more points on LSU than bama did.  So that pretty much makes them back-to-back national champions!!!!

I sort of agree with you, but these guys are risking multi million dollar contracts on one game. They play the bowl game and get injured badly, they could lose millions. The NCAA covers something like $200,000 for a disabling injury. 

thing is, if they don't want to play and are forced to.....then are they really gonna play???  better off sitting the bench

Maybe a rule that says if you don’t play, you don’t make the trip to the game, and stand on the sidelines while your teammates go out and do their best.

Matt, I feel for you, but chill a little bud. If you guys played LSU with their whole team, and Milton playing for the Knights, you still wouldn’t have scored 40-50. LSU’s starting defense was light years better than anyone else you’ve played all year. The truth is, UCF was exposed in this game. They lost to a 3 loss team with 8 starters not playing. They just aren’t in the league you think they are. I don’t mean they’re bad, just not nearly as good as most UCF fans believe. After watching the LSU game, do you still think that Alabama or Clemson would not destroy them?

I completely agree! They deserve another ring and a parade. Back to back maybe next year they'll make a three-peat

LSU was missing 8 defensive players. UCF was clearly outclassed

If UCF really wanted to play some competition and gain respect they could stay in their own state and play Florida, Miami, and FSU every year. They could also keep their traveling expenses to a minimum. They don't want to do that because the paper tiger will be set on fire

Oh please, you put UCF in any of the power 5 conferences with one winning season, well have recruiting classes better then any of the other could ever dream of. UCF already draws some decent recruits, they have the second largest university in the nation and already can compete with bigger teams with the players they have. You give UCF a power 5 status with the recruits that will come, there goes the neighborhood.

UCF has only had two good years. you can't create a dynasty and claim the team is among the best with only two years of a winning schedule. UCF had one other year, back in 2013 where they were good, but most years they were a mediocre team in a mediocre conference. They never have gotten great recruits, but Frost had a talent to bring out the best in the recruits he got and had a heck of a QB that drove the team. They haven't made the top 50 recruiting class in any year.  I doubt UCF will maintain the status they had the last two years. UCF should go 10-2 in their current conference every year without an issue. Put them in any power five conference and they would be lucky to be  7-5 most years. UCF only has $50 mil a year in athletic revenue. How can they compete with schools bringing in $150 million and more?

Yeah Flats, bad statement. There have been a lot of teams that have done what UCF has done and not able to sustain any longevity.  Good for a couple of years then fade. You sound  very young with that statement and lose
any credibility.  Shows you aren’t aware of the state of college football with that statement and recruiting. LSU fans are also complaining about how bad their team played.
