I'm a few days late, but I hope all of my fellow kayak anglers have been enjoying the holiday season! I spent Christmas in Jamaica again, but the weather was just as windy and rough as here (Broward), so no fishing stories this time.
One of the things I'm going to try to do in the new year is be more active in our sub-forum. I had a really busy work year and really only checked in every so often to make sure y'all were safe from SPAM

but I was unable to contribute much since I had very few opportunities to fish

I'd like to acknowledge and thank all of the members who post videos and reports regularly: JW_YakAngler, John Mckroid, Hobie Angler, just to name a few. Also, shout out to John Mckroid for getting recognized by Hobie and becoming part of their official fishing team (
https://www.hobie.com/hobie-fishing-team/ ), awesome job sir. Thank you and the other members who share their experiences on our little corner of the interwebs.
Be safe on the water and I wish you all a very fishy 2019.
Cheers,
Chris

Btw, You think Sunday will be calm enough to fish?
As a person who lives vicariously through the members here when it comes to saltwater fishing, I truly enjoy and anticipate each new video.
Also Chris, I've reached out to both you and John directly a few times and each time you've both been extremely gracious in taking your time to get back in touch, and help me.
Thanks so very much and have a spectacular 2019!
BTW I tried to go out this morning, but the spot I picked was too rough for me to feel comfortable launching in the dark (Spanish River park in Boca). Better safe than sorry, and I'm a bit rusty now. Let's hope 2019 brings calmer days.
