I want to believe that, but over the years the secretary has slipped up A couple of times and spilled the beans or left prints in the printer about what management receives. Or a manager will send an email to someone discussing bonus amd raises he's getting, and he accidently sends it to the wrong person.

 I wont go into specifics because that's taboo, but lets just say its insulting.

But they are managers and we are not. Corporate good old boy club. So be it

Some people don't realize that their compensation was for doing a good job and making the company profitable.  To achieve that they did not do it on their own, it was a team effort which you were part of.  There is no "Me" in Team.

I received $2000 in cash and the company wipes away any parts bills I may have at the end of the year (usually i have about $500 outstanding) Been this way for years.
I have always been well taken care of by my employer IMO.

Actually, there is.

No one argued against a team effort, I think we ALL understand that and embrace it. But if it's a team effort, why is there no team reward?

But we dont expect anything and therefore aren't let down. Its The way the book is written.

Sounds like your not enjoying the corporate structure. I enjoyed it for a while but would not embrace the butt kissing or backstabbing and left after I reached the last rung I could reach. 

I left the security of that position and went on and did my own thing and have achieved more than I ever imagined. 

Maybe you should take that step.

No one argued against a team effort, I think we ALL understand that and embrace it. But if it's a team effort, why is there no team reward?

I was in the corporate world for many years myself, whenever our team completed a project on time and was successful we usually got a polo shirt emphasizing the name of the project and were treated to a group lunch.  When I was a independent contractor I just smiled when handed my invoice check.
