Found some heavy snooks last night

Last night I had out Chuck and Scott from IL for a return trip.  It wasn't a nonstop action night or anything, but we did land some respectable snooks at or near the slot size, and all of them were heavy and wide for their lengths.  They went 31", 30", 28", 26" and a few others.  One beast came unglued after a headshake that was easily mid/high 30's.  Most of them were caught on Hogy HDUV eels fished slow on the bottom.  Here's a few pics but as usual they just don't do the fish any justice.

do you think they target those eels as a baitfish or an actual eel? either way they work but i always try and think like a fish

No idea... sometimes they crush them like they would a ladyfish or something... sometimes they just go by and suck them up like a bass does a senko... whatever their reasoning... they seem to work.
