Well it looks like this last cold front may have pushed the bulk of the Pompano south.

But that didn’t stop me from trying Saturday morning. Grabbed a couple dozen clams, and got to my one in sight !!  Water was nice and clean.....and from the first cast out, it was fish after fish. !!.....matter of fact, it took me a good 30 minutes before I could cast out my second pole.  I kept having to stop to reel in fish.

Anyway, today was nothing but nice whiting. Big fish, and super thick. No cats or spots or those “pesky pomps”

most all of these were fillet sized.

Fish bit like gangbusters for two hours then slowed to a fish here and there, once the tide started out good. So if you want some good size whiting, it’s worth a go for sure.
