11-29 out of palm beach report

we ran out about 0900 in the 17' dusky. my buddy grabbed 6 gogs from a bait guy just past the bridge. we ran out to about 120 and put out two small lures, right away began getting little bonita so headed out deeper. had a nice fish on but pulled the hooks. about 220 got a small but keeper mahi, and decided to put out a rapala, was glad i did as 5 secs after putting in the prop wash we got about a 30" mahi on it. we kept this up until about 11 and decided to drift and put out two gogs. lost two nice bites on those and also had a nice 15 or so pound mahi grab one and jump and spit it!! with a wire stinger! boxed another small but keeper mahi on a gog and while this was happening rounded up three small balckfins and two skippies on the vert jigs. all in all a steady fun day, small boat-small fish big fun!

thanks guys, we came down from jacksonville fl and mostly winged it based on your region's reports, thanks for the info! it was pretty rough with some decent rolling swell still around and wind chop on it, maybe it stirred the bite!
