I'm pretty sure he will never play football again.  I read he will under reconstructive surgery...  That sounds career ending to me, but hopefully I am wrong.

I am hearing nerve damage but, hopefully he will be ok. Football is a risky sport.

Id rather read what yoy have to say about career ending injuries. What do you know about it? Leave the prognosis to the Doctors. Your not qualified

My argument fell apart?  I gave a personal opinion, nothing more.  Time will tell if my guess is accurate.  Frankly I have no idea what all the fuss is about.

    People!
I started the thread hoping the kid recovers from his injury, not to start some silly argument.

    So sad.
    Career ending injury for sure.
Will lead to depression, and drug abuse.
End up living in an overpass. Possibly a van, down by the river.

Hoping hoping for a full recovery. People that know nothing about it shouldn’t speculate on his prognosis. The less negativity going his way the better. Im pulling hard for the guy.

We are all pulling for the guy.  Responding to nerve damage and reconstructive surgery with "probably career ending" isn't negative, but rather realistic.  And yes, of course we would love to be wrong.  Got to love this place, last week I was a blind UCF fanboy, this week I'm wishing ill to their star QB....  smh

Agreed, which is a pet peeve of mine.  The vast majority in this country do not understand the basics, much less enough to spout off as an expert

I pulled this from another thread. Thought it applied

Huh, a surgeon is on record saying Milton playing again is a "long shot."  Hey salty, you better go correct him.

i can't read the article since it says i read too many this month. Dis the surgeon say it was career ending or that he was pretty sure he would never play again? The headline just says uphill battle to play again.

He is an expert you are not. A pet peeve of mine is when people think they’re doctors when they are not( sound familiar?) You have a bad way of speaking from both sides of your mouth. And I never said it wasn’t true, just that you shouldn’t be running your mouth about it

So a surgeon says he might play in 2020 but it is an uphill battle, but you still claim it is career ending,

Felipe Franks is as much of an expert as you and he says Milton will play again

I suspect it is career ending, yes.  But I also noted I could (And hope) to be wrong.  Again, the crap going on in this thread has nothing to do with the actual topic.  It is carryover from another thread.  Pathetic.

This really doesn’t have to do with any other thread. Your running your mouth about which you know nothing. What about your pet peeve? I pulled that straight off another thread . You have no business giving any sort of medical prognostic opinion.  Keep it to yourself

if if you want to bring up another thread, then pull it up

Feel bad for him.  That kid was never going to the NFL as a QB, but it does seem as if he might not play again.  He has a hell of a competitive streak though so I wouldn't count him out.

You don't think Milton would have been drafted?  I would have guessed* he would have had a shot in this year's draft.

I don't think so, but I'm hardly a pro football scout, and I've only seen him play once outside of highlights.  Just didn't seem to have the arm strength or athleticism the NFL looks for.
  • kellerclkellercl Posts: 13,005 AG
He is also very small for a professional QB, though so is brees.  I think Milton would have gotten drafted late, but it would have happened, imho.  But I'm not an NFL scout either.

The only real knock against him is his size.  He's a little under 6 feet.  His stats are right there with the best of them, past and present.   Somebody will give him a shot.  You can't ignore his efficiency and leadership skills as a  QB.  Probably a 5 -7 round pick. Russell Wilson is 5'10".  He looked small standing next to Baker Mayfield.  Not saying he would make it in the NFL but when you have the kind of stats he has, I believe he will get drafted
