Has anyone noticed how racist the Mexicans are? Of course, they don’t call them “Mexicans”, because they are not. They simply recognize a problem developing from the invasion .
We should look at their immigration laws.

I keep forgetting that only applies to old white people. Usually when a certain group wants to incite violence against white Americans.

It's worse than that. The criminals are dragging children (literally by the hair) into the conflict area for photo ops/propaganda.

Not that people doing exactly that will convince you, but I'll leave this for those of us who may not recognize that you don't have any idea what you're talking about:

"If we remain here, with each day we'll just end up worse," Rodriguez said.

He and his wife were part of the group that marched to the border on Sunday and were sprayed with tear gas.

He said that after witnessing what happened, and seeing children get hurt, he has decided to go back to Honduras to figure things out there, rather than to remain "exposed" in Tijuana.

I have tried to ignore this idiocracy, but that is a crop of ****. I doubt Rodriquez exists or is a complete idiot. He left Honduras and walked to the Mexico / U.S. border. He went through all that and because he sin't patient enough to follow the rules for entry, he is going back home. My guess is some reporter created that story to make people feel bad for the immigrants.
Or he got enough from the organizers of this news flash to continue his life back home. He probably realizes the chance of getting asylum is slim to none anyway.
One thing I wonder about is, when turned down for asylum what happens? Do we push them back to Mexico, or do we fly them back to their home country?

The quote from the Auschwitz Memorial does exactly that.
The problem is the quote assumes the positions here are emotion based, when many (including me) have a position based more on a business perspective.

Meaning being anti caravan isn't based on hate, race or any other silly buzz word.  Some, again including myself, just don't see the value added (business perspective) by allowing the caravan in.  There is a major difference, but I suppose it is just easier for you to scream "race" every 30 seconds then taking the 30 seconds to understand what people are actually stating.

Incidentally, the article never said he walked, but it did say he's been there for more than a month:

Jose Alberto Rodriguez, a migrant from Copan, Honduras, arrived in Tijuana with his wife more than a month ago, long before the arrival of 5,700 migrants in the past two weeks. He was one of nearly a dozen people waiting to talk to one of two staff members at the Office of International Migration tent.

I live in a city that is 80% black (due to white flight).  The ones that could afford it moved to Lee Co. One of the top school systems in the state.  It wasn't just white people either.

I can tell you this most blacks are way more racist than the majority of whites that live here.  I've been here next March will be 49 years.

Maybe should have just waited to be processed like the rest of the migrants? Sounds like he was close to being able to talk with somebody about his legal immigration. Why not just wait a little longer?

This isn't about immigration, this is about illegal immigration, just storming the border and saying "you better let us in and give us jobs". This is not the answer, this is what most of us are opposed to.The media keeps repeating asylum, as if that is truly what they want, and it isn't even remotely close to what they want. But, if the media repeats it often enough then it must be so. So we will keep hearing about these poor people seeking asylum and selling news papers.

Fake news if you do, and damned if you don't, I suppose....

On Monday morning, Arlin Dubon, 24, helped his partner, Karla Leticia Rodriguez, 22, and their two young children board a bus, the first leg of their voluntary deportation back to Honduras. They decided Rodriguez and the kids should leave after the unsettling confrontation at the border the day before. They had heard President Trump’s strident warnings on border closures, tasted the tear gas and wanted no more.

“The situation keeps getting worse, and the U.S. isn’t going to let us in,” he said, as the bus drove away. “I guess it’s better that she leaves.”

But while some turned back, most of the migrants plan to stay in Tijuana, still hoping to gain entry into the United States.

    ...

Pueblos Sin Fronteras “has been warning people about approaching the border en masse without organization, and there wasn’t organization yesterday,” Mensing said in a phone interview. “We’ve been warning them a violent response was possible.”

Jose Barahona, a truck driver from Honduras, ran into that response Sunday.

    “They attacked us,” he said.

He said he had slipped past the first row of fencing but was forced back by tear gas. He wasn’t eager to try again.

“The U.S. isn’t going to listen to us,” he said. “I guess I’ll just go.”

Let's suppose that's true for a moment:   Please explain why "we" sent thousands of troops down there but have only two people processing asylum claims at the crossing.

Could it be "we" don't really want them at all and want them to turn back?

    Thanks.

Thank you for being honest, Keller.  Perhaps others might consider doing the same instead of avoiding the question.

Moving on to the point you raise:  Perhaps we might let some of them in if they agree to work and not take financial help.

Because I'd like to think there's a solution to this problem that's not on the one hand open borders and on the other hand shut ones.   And as much as some might like to believe otherwise, we do need them -- both the ones already working as well as the ones who would like to help fill jobs waiting to be filled.

Incidentally, I do plenty to help, but I don't get a whole lot out of boasting about it.  If you really want to know the extent of my charity work as opposed to taking another shot at me, send me a PM and I'll tell you.

    Thanks...Mike
