At the last fishing club meeting,a guide from EC/Choko
talked of some of the tips he uses when guiding.Couple of
them were:
1.Always carry a Distress flag.Guides are required by
their license to stop and assist a distressed boat.Similar
to a doctor aiding an injured person.(Flags available at Walmart.)
2.If a fish takes you into the mangroves, extend your rod
as far as you can into the water and attempt to land the fish.
Roots from mangroves grow downwards from the branches.
These were two of his thirty-five he listed. But would like
to see guides and knowledgeable fishermen submit similar
ideas to 10k forum.
