Cure for motion sickness?

Here's an inventor with a novel approach to preventing motion sickness without drugs.  Hopefully this will lead to convenient solutions, like building it into the hatband of your hat you normally wear on outings.  Might even work on solar power.

Pretty cool. I want to know where to get one .I suffer from seasickness and take Scopolamine for it. But it does have side effects like dry mouth and sore throat.

You won’t get seasick if you stay busy. 
 Now get below and wipe that engine or start cleaning that teak deck!

The only time I ever started feeling seasick in my life was standing in the cabin of a sportfisher to make lunch rocking and rolling on the hook. Walked out on the deck and good as new.

I wonder how much is mental or phisical?

How old is she now?
  I had one bout with it, partied all night, went out before daylight and slept till we got out to the rigs, came on deck, started fishing and it went bad from there. It was also the first time I had ever been on water bigger than a lake.
   Think I was 22, so just trying to impart a little info for the kids.

Dad told me for years to get something to eat if I start to feel bad. Never believed him until one day I finally ate a few crackers. Was almost instantly better. Guess I just needed something in my stomach.

Lol. No that doesn't work. I find a healthy cold cut sub works best for food.

That's what I usually take with me.  A ft long cold cut combo & a 6 pack.  I can eat on it twice in a day of fishing.

There is only one food for fishing, vienna sausages. Eat them with saltine crackers. Potted meat is also acceptable.

I usually have some scrambled eggs with sausage and biscuits covered with milk gravy before heading out. And three cups of strong black coffee.

don't have to buy chum that way


I usually don't have a problem if there are no tobacco smokers on board. Or leaky fuel odors.

I grew up on them. I don't eat them very often any more (except when fishing), but in the south, blue collar family, vienna sausage and potted meat were a staple in the 60s and 70s. My dad took a can to work every day with his sandwich for lunch.

I wouldn't either, They aren't good for dogs. Neither are most processed meats. I wouldn't feed a dog a hot dog, but will eat one. 

What do you feed your dogs? Most commercial dog food is as bad as vienna sausages.
