11/7/18 Beautiful day, few trout and a surprise guarding the restroom.

First time in a month using the boat.  It repaired and running great, no more over heating.  Who ever pick corrosion is the winner.  No water was reaching the upper section of the motor to cool it down.  He said it common in older Mercury motors 25 to 50 hp.for the intake pipe to close because of corrosion

My son Matt and I enjoyed the beautiful. weather.  Caught over 30 fish.  Release everything today.  Caught a few trout , all keeper size and the normal trash fish.

After fishing about 3 hours we called it a day.  After trailer the boat Matt headed to the restroom.  Ten second later he was running back yelling something about a snake that wouldn't let him near the restroom.  I grab the camera and went to look for myself.  True to his word there was a Pygmy Rattlesnake about 2 feet long guarding the door like it was his own.  I snapped a few photos and warn a couple people about Matt little friend the snake.  We were there in the parking lot for 10 to 15 minute and that snake didn't move only back and fore like guarding that men.s room door was his job.  We left for all I know he still there guarding that door.

Good to hear you got the boat running.
    Looks like a nice day.
A pygmy will dang sure sneak up on you. They are actually pretty calm but most of the time you see them when you are right on top of them.

Great that your boat is running good again. Good fishing trip, especially when partnered with your son. Darn snakes!

I was deer hunting in South Georgia years ago in a pine tree with a climber. I was about 15 feet off the ground, just getting ready to turn from facing the tree, attaching my strap for my harness. As I wrap my arms around the tree, a small pigmy comes from around the tree, scares the poop from me and I about danced a jig up there. Well I regain myself, get my knife out, cut that sucker in half and almost killed a giant freak spike deer that was covered in mud chasing does everywhere.
