I just wish the people who do come here had the same kind of ferver for this country they have for the one they left.   By that I mean driving around with the stars and stripes hanging from the rear view instead of some other flag.   I'm glad you love Bolivia so much, but you kind of gloss over the part where you risk your life NOT to live there anymore.

When these guys stepped ashore the guy on the left pulled out a plastic bag and got out his flag shirt. He seemed to love being here.

These guys don't seem to like our flag as much:

    Ive seen it firsthand.
Imagine a whole parking lot full of the same **** car.
It could all be Prius or leafs, depending on which bureaucrat got the biggest check.
Politburo bigwigs had copies of an early 70s benz.  Masses drove what looked like yugo prototypes.
    This was in 1990.
Com block apartments are pretty sweet too, hard to envy your neighbor if youve all got extra large prison cells.
Gas stayed on most of the winter, but they didnt get to pick when.
Aeroflot had crappy copies of american jetliners...mine had escape ropes, and their copy of the Concorde did pretty well...
How many times did they fly their shuttle?  It used kerosene mix instead of solid fuel boosters, ill admit i read that in old popular science, couldve actually been woodgas.
Reeducation camps for workers that wanted overtime, or had the nerve to suggest competition.

Of course socialisms never had a fair shake, never been properly implemented, yadayadayada.
Just hand over the guns and let us try it again.

The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.

Socialized healthcare doesn't make us socialists any more than Social Security or Medicare does.

However, much like the brainwashing that leads people to say a group of refugees seeking asylum are invaders, or more stringent gun controls are a violation of the 2nd amendment, the blinded partisans don't really know what they are saying.

Nobody is coming for your means of production either.

Higher taxes aren't a step towards socialism any more than lower taxes are a step to anarchism.

Do they teach history or civics in Arkansas?

Living in a community as a part of a larger society does not mean you are a communist  or a socialist.

What I don't  want is one party rule that is authoritarian.
