Party boat fishing January 2019

Hi we are staying at crescent beach, near to cocoa beach 12-29-18 thru 01-05-2019,  we have limited access to Kayaks but fancied taking the Wife and kids out deep, can't afford to hire a Charter as it costs quite a bit to come over for vacation for two weeks especially Christmas time, also exchange rate is very bad, so looking for suggestions willing to pay $500 or so. Any recommendations or helpful suggestions? 3 teenagers older son wife and me.
Also what is running the first week in January?
Many thanks,
 Bill.

You're going to be a lot closer to St. Augustine than Cocoa Beach / Port Canaveral area - we're talking 20 minutes vs 2 hours.  You should be able to find a party boat out of St Augustine.  Ask in the Northeast forum for suggestions.

Wait, do you mean you're staying at the Crescent Beach Club condos in Cocoa Beach and not the town of Crescent Beach?  If so, the party boats are the Orlando Princess & Ocean Obsession

As said Crescent Beach near to COCOA beach, between Patrick and Cocoa Beach, we are right on the Banana River about two miles south of 1000 islands. I am aware of those two boats, are they ok and what's running at that time of year?
Thank you all who have taken time to try and help.
I used to try my best Guiding Visitors when they came to stay in Ireland after the Salmon and Trout so it's nice to get some input your side of the Pond.

    Cheer's Bill.

Then you're staying in Cocoa Beach.  If you tell anyone around here "I'm staying in Crescent Beach, near to Cocoa Beach" they are going to think you're just a confused tourist and don't know where Crescent Beach is located, because it's 100 miles from Cocoa Beach.

And FWIW the weather that time of year can be very hit or miss as far as boating.  Cold and windy more often than not.

In that week....there most likely will be a cold front at some point....time your fishing trip to be two days in front of the next incoming front.
King Mackerel and assorted bottom fish will be available out of Canaveral.
There are many roads to travel
    Many things to do.
    Knots to be unraveled

Yeah, that's just south Cocoa Beach to us who live here.  Figured out the confusion though - Google maps.  It puts subdivision names from property records on the map.  Only a couple of subdivision names are in common use around here and Crescent Beach isn't one of them.  As duckmanJR said king macs & bottom fish - grouper & snapper mostly in January.  I've never been on either of the boats myself but I've heard both are decent party boats.

The Obsession is the better of the 2 boats.
