Decided to take the skiff out on Saturday. Hadn't fished in the river in ~two months+. I had high hopes for good water quality considering we haven't had any significant amount of rain this year. I usually get 2doz shrimp but I decided to go without considering it was blowing 10-15. Glad I didn't spend the money. The water quality south of Honest Johns is terrible. Almost no visibility in some areas. The northern part of what I consider the Long Point flat was like pee soup mixed w/chocolate milk. Very frustrating. I sure do miss the good old days of clean water and dense seagrass...

Anybody know what the purpose of those new markers near Pepper Cove? There are four large markers each labeled A,B,C, & D. They are placed up on the flat in a square pattern. No picture...
