Decided to take the skiff out on Saturday. Hadn't fished in the river in ~two months+. I had high hopes for good water quality considering we haven't had any significant amount of rain this year. I usually get 2doz shrimp but I decided to go without considering it was blowing 10-15. Glad I didn't spend the money. The water quality south of Honest Johns is terrible. Almost no visibility in some areas. The northern part of what I consider the Long Point flat was like pee soup mixed w/chocolate milk. Very frustrating. I sure do miss the good old days of clean water and dense seagrass...
