Was hoping to do a hillsboro trip but the weather wasn’t looking too agreeable for the bay boat so we hit flamingo. 

All I can say - tough day. Full moon isn’t historically good for us - but fish when you can fish.  Oldest released a nice snook.  Found multiple tripletails, small grovers, and few trout

 A bad day at flamingo is a good day other places. A long drive but good to see you get the kids out

The drive is painful at 4am. But all is forgotten once we’re there. And yes - there are no bad days out there!

As for the TT on a plug - we all have our confidence bait and the xrap is his. He’s caught such a wide variety of fish on it - mangroves, Muttons, kings, snook, list goes on...  What makes it that much better - the rod/reel setup he’s holding is older than him!  One of my early light tackle spin combos that caught his eye. And I used it to toss plugs in the surf for anything that would bite years ago.
