2/3 of the slam.

14 Sept 2018...Grant/Valkaria… Did not take long to figure out why I do not fish this area very often.  Great fishing, sorry anglers.  Set up to fish an area, usually start out 200 feet from the spot.  Today, second cast a Sailcat just under 7 pounds.  Get ready to fish the pocket and a boat runs in and sets up on top of where the fish normally hold.  Hog Point and Big Snag, water way to dirty to be productive.  Back to an old standby, pitching docks and Mangroves.   A little disappointed, needed a slot Red for FWC Slam.  Both Reds out of the Mangroves were short.  Plenty of barely legal Snapper under the docks.  Pulled an 18 inch Trout off of a dock.  Another dock was infested with Uglies, gave up a 17 and an 18 inch.  Broke one off along with an overgrown Sheepshead.  Upgraded to a 30 # leader.  Pulled the only thing that resembled a Snook out from another dock.  Cats were really annoying today.  Afternoon, got a Trout  just under 24 inches off of a hard wind blown shore.  Most of the victims today on the Baby Vudu Shrimp, Zombie Ghost Walker and Rapala BX Minnow.  All players released for future encounters.
