me and my buddy David went in the bay targeting  black tips and bull sharks. Little did we know what the night had in store for use thanks for watching and tight lines

How long was your leader and what pound was your leader? When you were helping with the line and pulling with gloves on line, aren’t you running a greater risk of breaking the line?

300 pound mono about 8 feet and about 5 feet of 250 wire leader. (Which is to long in my opinion)

I was trained by a great shark fisherman to have your metal leader as long as the shark you are intending to catch because of the tail whipping the mono apart. He would fish with 10-12 ft of seven strand seven strand...I know everyone has their own opinion.

I used to fish there in the 90s.  Brings back great memories.

Nothing of that size though - biggest things we would go for was the bull reds.

    Great fish for sure!
