Transducer help

Does the pic look like the best place to have put the transducer, I just purchased a Axiom and was wonder if where the old transducer is, is good, or would any of you gurus place it in a different spot.  any help would be appreciated/thanks

    You want it to be as far away from turbulence as possible, anything under the hull like a raw water pick-up that would line up with it and create a stream of bubbles? I would probably move it to the right about 4 or 5 inches away from the tunnel.

    If it works good where it is I would keep it there. Moving it to the right it may get damaged from your trailer bunk if your boat gets  loaded off center.
